I am going to be making a presentation at TESOL 2000 entitled "Forging
Professional Partnerships With Institutional Technical Specialists."

What I have done is interviewed various institutional technical specialists
who provide support to language faculty and administrators. The purpose of
this presentation is to discuss what points "non-technical" instructors and
administrators should keep in mind when soliciting the assistance and
working with institutional technical specialists -- including expectations,
time-frame of projects, responsibilities and perspectives of both sides.

I would be interested in hearing additional comments on this topic, if
anyone should be thusly inspired.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
