There I was, channel surfing at night, and I flipped past a head that looked familiar. I got a community access band-y kind of vibe, but the familiar head was what made me flip back. There I was, sitting in a clarinet section, a huge clarinet section, in fact the whole band was clarinets! It was me and a whole bunch of people I didn't know playing music I didn't recognize. Except for one other head that looked familiar. It was. My son Ben. It then came to me that this was the multi-band clarinet choir playing in the church in Joigny. Of course I watched the rest of the video, which was a great compilation of many highlights of the trip, most of which I had already forgotten. Glad to see the fine programming they're doing on public access.
