My husband watched as a Northern Shrike took a chickadee in our front yard
yesterday in Norwich. Pretty impressive manuever, according his report. After
a few hard pecks to the head, he flew off with the dead bird.

He also saw a Barred Owl take a mouse in the same spot last week.
