Interesting. I birded for quite some time this morning, and was rather
disappointing. Very few waterbirds anywhere, highlights being 6
Ring-Billed Gulls at the Wilder Dam and a Double-Crested Cormorant at
Ledyard.
The landbirds were better, but only 2 species of warblers
(yellow-rumped and palm). I did managed 8 species of sparrow, without
finding anything new for the fall. Blue-headed Vireos and both
Kinglets were abundant on Bragg Hill. I hope I can get out again
tomorrow.
