Today we took our Golden Retriever to her usual swimming spot at Mascoma Lake. She got to the water's edge before we did and she flushed a Great Blue Heron. She thought she was going to be able and run thru the water and catch it. What a girl. I saw one later in the day at George Pond.
The chorus of Wood Thrush cont. Three birds were singing this evening.
Yesterday afternoon a group of 5 or 6 Swallows skimming over the water at Mascoma Lake. Possibly Rough Wing. Poor light and no binoculars.
I have had Red Breasted Nuthatches at the suet feeder feeding young.
Last week a first for me. In my yard a pair of Yellow Warblers.
Sunday saw a lone Loon on McDaniels Marsh. Have seen a pair of Loons on Mascoma Lake.
