While driving home along lower Bragg Hill Rd in Norwich this morning, we
heard a Louisiana Waterthrush. I jumped out of the car, and while
watching it briefly, I realized I was standing on snow and listening to
my first VT warbler of the the year.

In our neighborhood, Chipping Sparrows and we watched a Blue Jay eat a
frog.

Also at ledyard Bridge earlier there were a few nice ducks, but low overall numbers.

Observation date: 4/20/08
Number of species: 12

Wood Duck 2 pair (west of RR tracks; nice lighting)
Blue-winged Teal 1 (female)
Green-winged Teal 5
Field Sparrow 1
