It was worth getting soaked this morning for the great view of a
breeding-plumaged Red-necked Grebe just south of the Kilowatt boat
access. Other water birds included 8 Ring-billed Gulls in a tight raft
and the (presumably) same Greater Scaup that has been present for ~2
weeks, in almost exactly the same spot every time.
