Our nesting pair of Broad-Winged hawks reappeared today @ the edge of our woods. The first vocalizing hawk perched on a nearby oak tree, feeding on what appeared to be a small squirrel, as the tail was hanging down from the branch. After the partner showed up, I headed back for the camera, but of course they were nowhere in sight when I returned.
I could hear the mobbing crows in the distance. Hope they decide to stay!
