Stopped at the Richmond Conservation Land in Orford this afternoon and saw lots of waterfowl and other good birds. Some highlights and numbers:

Wood Duck 5
American Wigeon 1
American Black Duck 3
Mallard 12
Green-winged Teal 3
Hooded Merganser 24
Common Merganser 6

Pied-billed Grebe

Rusty Blackbird in a large flock of grackles, red-wings and cowbirds.

If any Upper Valley birders are interested in learning more about this relatively new spot to bird in Orford, I'd be happy to give details off list.
