Just went for a walk in the woods behind my house -we have a snowshoe trail
made. Found a torpid Garter (I think) snake in the trail- alive -possibly
tail was injured. We it in under a tree root....but huh? I've never seen a
snake out in the snow in December. I'm guessing a bird or animal got it
somehow and dropped it, but saw no tracks. Heard/saw a Raven shortly
after-some distance away, but they are around a lot here.

Don't know what else I could have done for the snake, if anything. Ideas?

Happy Holidays all.
