About 9:45 this morning, an immature Snowy Egret was in shallow water by a bend in the Ompompanoosuc River and easily seen from Campbell Flats Road where there is an expanded open view of the river near the eastern end of that road. The water level in the river was relatively low at that time. This Snowy Egret appeared identical to the one seen on occasion in recent days along Route 5 about 200 yards north of the intersection with Route 132.
