Highlights yesterday at Ledyard ~5pm were a Merlin, Spotted Sandpiper,
and lots of Kingbirds. Fun watching the kingbirds interact. In general,
birds were very quiet, in contrast to Saturday morning there when both
yellow and black & white warblers were singing.
Bountiful berries at the Montshire end of the embayment (accessed via RR
tracks) are providing food for robins, waxwings, and others.
