About a dozen participants joined in yesterday's morning bird walk
arranged by the Milton Frye Nature Area Committee. Skies were dark and
at times threatening.. Among the notable finds were a Broad-winged
Hawk flying past, a Barred Owl mobbed by numerous and vociferous
American Crows, nine species of warblers including a female Pine
Warbler which provided a special challenge in identification, and a
Savannah Sparrow. Special thanks to Ed Hack for compiling the full
