Nice wave of migrants around my house this morning. Highlights included:

Blue-headed Vireo 1
Red-eyed Vireo 2
Nashville Warbler 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler 1
Magnolia Warbler 1
Black-throated Blue Warbler 2
Yellow-rumped Warbler 5
Black-throated Green Warbler 4
Blackburnian Warbler 2
Pine Warbler 2
Black-and-white Warbler 3
Ovenbird 1

On the VT side of Ledyard Bridge at 11:30 am, I watched what I'm 98%
sure were 3 Fish Crows foraging in the open grassy area south of the
road. I had my scope on them from 30-35 feet away. Their small
overall size and bill were notable, but they were silent the entire
120 minutes that I watched them. I twice approached close enough to
flush them without eliciting calls. One striking feature of their
behavior was how close they allowed me to approach, very unlike
American Crows in my experience. I suspect these birds will nest (or
could be now) in the nearby pine stand along the river side of
McKenna Road. I would love to have others confirm or refute my
identification! As far as I know, the only other confirmed Vermont
nesting during the current Breeding Bird Atlas (or ever, for that
matter) was from Burlington.
