Not much time to bird today, but during dinner something caught my
attention under one of our feeders. No wonder... it was a Rusty
Blackbird, my first for Norwich and a new 2010 species for the Norwich
Bird Quest.

A few other highlights shown below, including white-crowned sparrows.

Spencer & Doug Hardy, Norwich

Nashville Warbler - Vermivora ruficapilla 1
Black-throated Green Warbler - Dendroica virens 1
Song Sparrow - Melospiza melodia 6
White-throated Sparrow - Zonotrichia albicollis 4 all tan striped
White-crowned Sparrow - Zonotrichia leucophrys 2 "western taiga" unmarked lores
Rusty Blackbird - Euphagus carolinus 1 non-breeding plumage, under feeder eating cracked corn

photo not bad, considering time (6:22pm) and shutter speed (1/6 sec) at 300mm...
