Spencer and I just slowly walked the middle trail, stopping periodically 
to listen. We also played some saw-whet audio clips (this not being the 
breeding season)... but didn't hear any owls. Beautiful night for a 
walk, nonetheless.

If anyone else investigates, please post a report.
