The most unusual among 13 bird species sighted today in the backyard
here in Norwich village was a Gray Catbird, presumably the same
individual previously seen here on November 4 and 8. Around 4:18 PM
this afternoon I saw the catbird in a crab apple tree where it
swallowed two of the small apples. Today's sighting was my latest ever
fall sighting of a catbird in the Upper Valley.

Also noted this afternoon in the backyard was the continuing presence
of at least three White-throated Sparrows.
