SUNDAY, 2 NOVEMBER 2008:
LEDYARD BRIDGE, Hanover-Norwich (0850-0925 hrs.)
Weather: clear, 5-10 mph N wind, 30-35° F
Ice to 20m out from shore, west of RR causeway!
Doug & Spencer Hardy

Beautiful morning to walk along the RR tracks below Ledyard Bridge.
Access is easy from the old station building, behind (west of) the park
and ride area. Besides being a pretty, peaceful place to walk, one can
often find good (esp., less common) birds here at this time of year.

Wood Duck 3
American Black Duck 1
Mallard X
Bufflehead 1 (upstream, by Canoe Club building, with Mallards)
Hooded Merganser 7
Northern Goshawk 1 (flew in from upstream, perched on NH side, flew off toward campus)
