A busy morning in my backyard in downtown, residential Hanover.

A lone, handsome male white-winged crossbill foraging under a sunflower feeder,
four grackles doing the same, ditto one male and one female redpoll, continuing
large flocks of pine sisikins joined the last few days by growing numbers of
goldfinches some of which are starting to molt.

And alternating at the suet, a pair of hairywoodpeckers, a pair of downy's, a
pair of red-breasted nuthatches, and intermitent white-breasted, titmice, and
chickadees.

Mike
