We drove past George Pond at 12:45 noted not one but two Great Blue Herons. I visited the pond later this PM a was treated to both of them flying over the pond. They landed in separate areas. Also there several pairs of Mallards, Canada Geese, and one pair of Hooded Merganzers.
Under my Flowering Quince bush with the ground still covered with snow one Song Sparrow.
This PM a hawk landed on one of my feeders under my big maple. The back was a dark gray. Did not get a front or side view.
Yesterday 7 AM had one M Evening Grosbeak high in the maple near the road singing . I thought sure I would have a flock here today.
