The 2011 Vermont County Bird Quest on Vermont eBird has come to a close.
But wait, 2012 is two days old! Get going and beat your record last year!
Seriously, the quest will run every year for anyone that wants to jump into
the challenge. You can always see the scores on Vermont eBird using the Top
100 form at http://ebird.org/ebird/vt/top100Location.form.
The official results for the 2011 County Bird Quest will be tallied in a
week or so to give everyone a chance to get any last minute checklists
entered that may be in their notebooks and for the VBRC to examine a few
really neat rare birds reported in the last few months. Stay tuned for an
announcement of a bash to hand out awards and meet all your fellow birders
later this month or in early February!
Thanks everyone! We sure put Vermont on the eBird map this year and had fun
doing it!
Kent
