Early this morning, 20 Spotted Sandpipers below Ledyard Bridge.
Also, 1 Night Heron (river left, downstream a ways) and 2 Yellowlegs
(probably Greater).
Among birds seen in a quick stop by the Milton Frye Nature Area, in the
swale just north or the road (Rt. 5 or Main St.), where fragrant apple
trees are in bloom:
Tennessee Warbler (close range)
Chestnut-sided Warbler ~5
Blackburnian Warbler, male (great looks at close range)
Wilson's Warblers, 2
Magnolia Warbler
plus Yellow Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, and a drumming Grouse
Doug & Spencer Hardy, Norwich
