On Saturday March 24, 2018, from 8 to 11 AM, the Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon is to hold a bird walk led by George Clark to look for both land and water birds along the Vermont side of the Connecticut River and nearby. This bird walk is free and open to the public. Bring binoculars and, if available, spotting scopes. Dress warmly. Walking might cover a mile or more over fairly level, but possibly wet and muddy, terrain.

In the unfortunate case of hazardous road conditions or steady heavy precipitation, this walk would be canceled.

Road Instructions: Because of limited parking along this route, carpooling from the starting point is strongly encouraged. We're to meet at 8:00 AM in the parking lot at the southern end of River Road in Norwich, VT. If coming from Hanover, cross the Ledyard Bridge into VT, then take an immediate right turn onto River Road, and then an immediate left turn into the unpaved parking lot.
