Ducks on the Connecticut: field trip, sponsored by the Mascoma Chapter of NH Audubon, starting from West Lebanon at the JC Penney parking lot at 8 a.m. The plan is to carpool and head south to Herrick's Cove (between Bellows Falls and Springfield, VT) and then move south on Route 5, looking for waterfowl migrating up the river corridor. Bring lunch/beverage or plan to grab a lunch at Allen Brothers. Dress warmly. Expect to be back to West Lebanon by 4 p.m. Bad weather could cancel the trip.
