While kayaking yesterday near the mouth of Blood Brook at Montshire  
Museum I saw a canada goose standing guard. He (I believe) honked the  
familiar warning and swam to the middle of the bay to distract me. No  
sign of the female on her nest but she could have been hiding in the  
reeds.  Hoping to see the orchard oriole next. The area is rich in  
bird activity and rewarding to the frequent traveller.
