There will be an AMAS-led trip to Lighthouse Point, CT, Saturday, 13 
October, leaving from the Irving station off Exit 7 (W) in 
Springfield, VT at 6:30 AM.  Two previous scouting trips to this 
locations led to the sighting of 2,000 and 800 raptors, many at 
treetop-level.  This will be a full-day trip.  Please bring a lunch.

AMAS will be having its annual dinner on Friday, 26 October.  The 
dinner will be held at the Springfield Methodist Church in the center 
of Springfield, VT.  The dinner ($11 members / $13 non-members, $6 
ages 6-12) will begin at 6 PM.  The program, which features Ernest 
Franzgrote and his quest to photograph 200 hummingbirds in a year,
