Here at Crossroad Farm all is in full gear in the greenhouses but we still have 8 inches of hard icy snow. That has not deterred the Killdeers who arrived last week along with two Bluebirds who might have been passing through. This morning a Merlin flew furiously overhead squealing as it went. The Song Sparrows are singing in our brush pile. No tree swallows yet. So far, a nice old-fashioned spring.
