I have not heard the Whip-poor-will for the past 3 evenings/nights. I have gone out on the deck several times each eve. for 10-15 min. at a time.
Tonight I did hear what I believed to be a Barred Owl in flight. It's call, a short Who ah, was heard four times as it flew from south to north behind my house. I also heard a Loon call from Grafton Pond. I heard both these sounds about 10 PM. Fire Flies are out, Tree Frogs calling as well as Bull Frogs.
