I had a male indigo in the yard yesterday. I didn't see it happen but think he hit a window. He drunkenly flew by me in the driveway. With great effort, he landed high in a maple tree. As I was trying to ascertain where in the tree he was, he fell, landing over the bank. I went down to pick him up and move him to a safe place. A joy to hold in my hand; such a beautiful bird. He rested for 45 minutes, then flew off.
