From 7:30 to 10:30 AM on Saturday September 20, 2014, Windsor County
2014 Birding Quest will hold a bird walk in Norwich to be led by Sara
Eisenhauer, Chris Rimmer, and George Clark.
This bird walk is free and open to the public. Participants should
bring binoculars and spotting scopes if available and be prepared to
walk as much as a mile over generally level but uneven terrain. We'll
begin birding in the area of Ledyard Bridge and then carpool northward
for continued birding in the northeastern part of Norwich. We'll be
looking for all kinds of fall migrants as well as resident birds.
Route instructions: Meet at 7:30 AM in the commuter parking lot at the
western end of Ledyard Bridge in Norwich, VT. To reach this lot from
Exit 13 off I-91, turn towards Hanover on Route 10A. When approaching
the Ledyard Bridge, pull into the left hand turn lane. At the traffic
light, turn left onto River Road and then take an immediate left turn
into the unpaved parking lot which is the starting point.
George Clark
Norwich, VT
