Birders-
Double check any herons seen in the next few days, as there may have
been a Little Blue Heron seen today about noon, ~5 miles out New Boston
Road in Norwich. E-bird indicates that for VT-NH-MA the frequency of LBH
sightings increases sharply in mid-August (i.e., right about now). This
would be a great sighting in the Upper Valley, and probably the first
for Norwich.

ps-beautiful adult female Cooper's Hawk just flew past my window and is
now perched on the hammock frame!
