This morning (March 20) Ed Hack and I looked for birds in Norwich from
the area of the Ledyard Bridge north to Pompy and west on Campbell
Flats Road. New for 2010 in Norwich for us were Green-winged Teal,
Ring-necked Duck, Belted Kingfisher, and Eastern Phoebe. The teal and
ring-necks were along the western (Vermont) side of the Connecticut
River south of Pompy. The Belted Kingfisher was at Pompy, and the
Eastern Phoebe at Foley Park.
