This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Wednesday, June 15th, 
2011.



An immature male KING EIDER was seen at Seal Rocks in Rye on June 11th.



A MISSISSIPPI KITE was seen flying near the Loiselle property, which is 
Newmarket town-land located approximately one-half mile west of the 
elementary school. A MISSISSIPPI was also reported from Gonet Road in 
Newmarket during the past week. MISSISSIPPI KITES nested in Newmarket last 
year.



A BLACK TERN was seen at Little Cherry Pond at the Pondicherry National 
Wildlife Refuge in Jefferson on June 13th.



A CLAPPER RAIL was reported from Hampton Marsh behind Little Jack's 
restaurant on Route 1A on June 15th, and a SEASIDE SPARROW and a LEAST TERN 
were reported from Hampton Marsh earlier in the week.



A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was reported from Arboretum Drive in Newington during 
the past week.



An ICELAND GULL was reported from Hampton Harbor on June 15th.



Birders on the Granite State Whale Watch cruise out of Rye Harbor reported 
the following sightings on June 11th: a NORTHERN FULMAR, 13 NORTHERN 
GANNETS, 290 WILSON'S STORM-PETRELS, a GREAT SHEARWATER, 3 BLACK-BELLIED 
PLOVERS, a LAUGHING GULL, and 2 BLACK GUILLEMOTS.



3 BRANT, 2 ROSEATE TERNS, and a BLACK GUILLEMOT were reported from the coast 
on June 11th.



An UPLAND SANDPIPER was reported from Pease International Tradeport during 
the past week.



A NELSONS SPARROW and a SALTMARSH SPARROW were reported from Chapman's 
Landing in Stratham during the past week.



A RUDDY DUCK was seen at the Exeter Wastewater Treatment Plant on June 11th.



A BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was reported from Trudeau Road in Bethlehem on 
June 8th.



A YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO was heard on Fogg Lane in Durham on June 9th.



A FISH CROW was reported from near Locke Road in Concord on June 11th.



2 BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKERS were seen along the Little Cherry Pond trail at 
the Pondicherry National Wildlife Refuge in Jefferson on June 13th.



A GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH was reported from Madison on June 9th.



A MOURNING WARBLER was reported from the Long Pond boat ramp in Benton on 
June 8th.



A birder reported the following birds in Pittsburg on June 3rd-7th: along 
Day Road, a WILSON'S SNIPE and a MOURNING WARBLER; along East Inlet Road, a 
WILSON'S SNIPE, 8 YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS, 2 BOREAL CHICKADEES, 12 
SWAINSON'S THRUSHES, 10 BAY-BREASTED WARBLERS, 9 BLACKPOLL WARBLERS, a 
WILSON'S WARBLER, 4 CANADA WARBLERS, 2 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS, 2 RUSTY 
BLACKBIRDS, and 4 GRAY JAYS; along Smith Brook Road, 3 RUFFED GROUSE, 2 
BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKERS, 2 YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS, 2 OLIVE-SIDED 
FLYCATCHERS, 18 SWAINSON'S THRUSHES,  3 BOREAL CHICKADEES, 9 GRAY JAYS, a 
TENNESSEE WARBLER, 15 MOURNING WARBLERS, a RUSTY BLACKBIRD, and 7 LINCOLN'S 
SPARROWS; along Scott's Bog Road, a WILSON'S SNIPE, a YELLOW-BELLIED 
FLYCATCHER, a PHILADELPHIA VIREO, 4 BOREAL CHICKADEES, 3 TENNESSEE WARBLERS, 
and 3 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS; along Golden Eagle Road, a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD, and 
2 RED CROSSBILLS; along Magalloway Road, a RUFFED GROUSE, an OLIVE-SIDED 
FLYCATCHER, a BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER, 21 SWAINSON'S THRUSHES, a TENNESSEE 
WARBLER, 8 BLACKPOLL WARBLERS, 6 MOURNING WARBLERS, a RUSTY BLACKBIRD, and 2 
LINCOLN'S SPARROWS; and at Magalloway Mountain, a RUFFED GROUSE, a 
YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER, 4 GRAY JAYS, 5 BLACKPOLL WARBLERS, and 2 CANADA 
WARBLERS
