Ten birders showed up on a cloudy cool showery morning to find some  
avian action on Balch Hill. This is what we found:

American crows
Black-capped chickadees
American robins
a probable double-crested cormorant
wild turkey
black and white warblers
northern parula
ovenbirds
common yellowthroat
blue jays
eastern wood pewee
scarlet tanager
red-eyed vireos
pileated woodpecker
yellow-bellied sapsucker
hermit thrush
wood thrush
gulls (sp?)
pine warblers
ruffed grouse
American goldfinch
rose-breasted grosbeaks
mourning doves
tufted titmice
indigo buntings
