a Bay-breasted Warbler today (1st winter) and a waterthrush yesterday 
(at our house).

Spencer wasn't home for the waterthrush, but despite great-yet-brief 
views I couldn't be sure it was a Northern (the likely candidate in 
late-August).

Our warbler yardcount for August 2010 is now at 19 species; no Pine or 
Palm seen yet this month.

Additional highlights today among the list below were 3 Blackburnians, a 
Tennessee, and a Wilson's Warbler. One male hummingbird is still around. 
And yesterday an adult song sparrow was feeding young; later in the day 
a jay tried to kill/eat one (chased away by other Song Sparrows).
