Apologies for being slow to post this, but there was a yearling male 
Orchard Oriole singing persistently at Ledyard Bridge yesterday 
morning.  He moved from trees along the railroad causeway to the large 
trees at the south end of the grassy bluff, where he sang for another 10 
minutes.  A pair nested right by the bridge in 2010, and possibly again 
in 2011, but were never seen last year.  A Baltimore Oriole pair nests 
there annually, and the female was nest building yesterday.

Two bluebird nests near my home in Norwich (Warner Meadows and Hillside 
Cemetery) both have 6 eggs.  The cemetery nest had a complete clutch on 
May 5.  Last year the female laid only 3 eggs, but was incubating by 
April 13, and the chicks fledged on May 16 or 17.  Other nests in boxes 
included a House Wren with 1 egg and a Tree Swallow nest < 50% constructed.
