Water was down enough this morning to expose some flats at Pompy. 
Shorebirds didn't exactly descend in hordes as hoped, but there were a 
few birds of interest.

Highlights:

Mallard  55
Blue-winged Teal  7
Great Blue Heron  1
Green Heron  2
Spotted Sandpiper  1
Least Sandpiper  8     looked to be all juveniles
Barn Swallow  8
Carolina Wren  1     singing persistently
Yellow Warbler  1     seen clearly; immature
Chestnut-sided Warbler  2
Black-throated Green Warbler  2
Rose-breasted Grosbeak  1
Baltimore Oriole  1     sang briefly
