  There doesn't seem to be much migration going on here tonight, given 
southerly airflow. For those curious about watching birds fly across the 
face of the moon, here is a YouTube video showing exactly what has been 
visible lately. While not exactly edge-of-your-seat footage, it is 
remarkable to realize how many birds are passing overhead (considering 
that one views an angle of only ~0.26° when the moon is full). One night 
we watched 10+ birds per minute crossing.

So tonight's consolation prize is a pretty amazing view of Jupiter and 
four of it's moons, even with binos. Apparently this is the closest 
Jupiter has been in 50 years...
