For a second consecutive morning, Kilowatt South Park has hosted a
Red-necked Grebe on the wide expanse of open water south of the boat
access peninsula. There were also 185 Mallards (many "splash-diving" on
the NH side and coming up with food I couldn't identify), 2 Am. Black
Ducks, and 6 Hooded Mergansers. A lone Pine Siskin joined a flock of 6
Am. Goldfinches and 5 House Finches. Yesterday the N. Mockingbird was
feeding in the sumacs at the top of the access road.
