Today, around 1:45, on the west side of occom pond there was a merlin in the top of a pine tree. Another merlin came along and chased it away, and took its place. It sat there for a while, and the first merlin came back. After a short encounter it flew off to another tree on the east side of the pond. When I left the second merlin was still there in the pine tree.
