At 1400' in Bethel this morning the first time that I have seen an
eastern towhee up here. Also saw my first cardinal up here a few weeks
back.
Lots of warblers, vireos, hermit thrushes, both grosbeaks, winter
wren, yellow and purple finches, red wing blackbirds and more on a
morning walk in my woods. Two highlights were long, close encounters
with a barred owl and two ovenbirds.
Plus a plethora of wildflowers in bloom.
Mary
