And as I read this at 1145, there's one mature sitting in "their" tree on
the NH side of the CT river at the CT/Ott confluence. A first year BaE flew
south over the CT this AM about 0815.

Of note, Wednesday afternoon about 3:45, the mallards scattered which alerts
us that usually an eagle is near, and yes, a Ma BaE was in pursuit of a
flying great blue heron. There were several minutes of taunting going on,
the eagle making contact with the flying heron several times, but eventually
the heron set down in the CT about 15 feet from VT shore just above the Ott
and the eagle perched across the CT river. About 5 minutes later the heron
flapped his way to shore on the VT side. Watched for awhile and didn't see
the eagle pursue it, and eagle the eventually flew south, and haven't seen
the heron since. Of note, when the heron was flying, one leg was dangling
as though injured.

Daily visits/pass overs of eagles here.
