Anyone interested in seeking early winter birds in Norwich village and
simultaneously supporting the Haven are welcome to join a leisurely bird
walk this Saturday morning. As one of many activities for "The 19 Days
of Norwich, 1% for the Haven", a 90-minute stroll will begin from Dan
and Whit's General Store at 9:00 am. We'll walk a loop up Beaver Meadow
to Hopson Road and on to Hillside Cemetery, where we'll cut over to Pine
Tree Road and return via Hopson, arriving back at Dan & Whit's by
10:30. A mix of suburban and woodland birds is likely, possibly
including Carolina Wren and Red-bellied Woodpecker - both have been seen
and/or heard in the vicinity during the past couple of weeks.

As always, birders of all abilities and inclinations are welcome to join
this walk. We only ask that you be willing to offer a contribution to
the Haven - a donation of $10 is suggested. Please make sure to dress
warmly, with a hat and gloves, and wear warm, fairly sturdy winter
boots. If you have binoculars, bring them. If you don't, no worries,
we'll share. I hope to see some of you there.

Chris
