Yesterday afternoon I followed up Kent's sightings and rounded up large flocks of snow buntings on the Woodstock floodplain cornfields. It was tough to estimate numbers, but there were two major flocks that joined together at one point to total about 1,100 birds. Very cool. I missed the warbler, that is apparently right next to the sewage plant!
