This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Thursday, July 19th,
2007.
2 LEAST BITTERNS were reported from the Hinsdale Setbacks, an area above the
dam in Hinsdale, on July 11th.
2 NORTHERN FULMARS, a SOOTY SHEARWATER, about 20 GREATER SHEARWATERS, and
many WILSON'S STORM-PETRELS were seen on a whale watch cruise out of Rye
Harbor on July 12th.
2 NORTHERN FULMARS, 12 SOOTY SHEARWATERS, 27 GREATER SHEARWATERS, and 300
WILSON'S STORM PETRELS were seen on a whale watch cruise out of Newburyport,
Massachusetts on July 14th.
A HORNED GREBE was seen in Rye just north of Ragged Neck on July 15th.
Several ROSEATE TERNS and over 10 WILSON'S STORM-PETRELS were seen off of
Pulpit Rocks in Rye on July 15th.
A pair of PIPING PLOVERS is raising chicks at Hampton Beach State Park.

Over 15 AMERICAN PIPITS were reported from Mount Washington on July 14th.
They were seen in the Cow Pasture, Nelson Crag, Ball Crag and Alpine Garden
areas.
A TENNESSEE WARBLER was reported from the White Mountain National Forest
trails on Trudeau Road in Bethlehem on July 15th.
A family of BOREAL CHICKADEES was reported from the Caps Ridge Trail in
Jefferson Notch on July 13th.
A BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO was reported from the Saco intervale fields behind the
Conway Recreation Center in Center Conway on July 13th.
60 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 8 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 9 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS, 16
SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and 2 GREAT EGRETS were reported from Hampton Marsh on
July 16th.
Over 25 KILLDEER were seen in Moore Fields on Route 155A in Durham on July
16th.
