Just as the light was becoming very low after sunset tonight...maybe 4:35pm....and I was starting to pull the shades for the evening....I noticed behind the garden probably the same Barred Owl Peter and I saw about a week ago ripping into a fairly good sized catch....in about three or four bites the prey was gone...when he finished he flew up to perch on one of the fence posts and watched from above for a few minutes -swiveling his head around and back again- before flying off to the east.
Beautiful...even in the almost dark!
Sue
