This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Thursday, August 23rd, 
2007.

 A MARBLED GODWIT was seen in Meadow Pond in Hampton on August 19th, and 2 
STILT SANDPIPERS and a PECTORAL SANDPIPER were seen in Meadow Pond on August 
21st.



A RED-NECKED PHALAROPE was seen swimming off of Rye Ledge on August 19th.



2 HUDSONIAN GODWITS were seen in Hampton Harbor, and a WHITE-RUMPED 
SANDPIPER was seen in Henry's Pool in Hampton, all on August 20th.



A LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen just off Route 286 in Seabrook on August 19th.



A breeding plumage HORNED GREBE continues to be reported from Foss Beach in 
Rye and was last reported on August 21st.



3 WHIMBRELS were seen in Hampton Harbor on August 18th.



Over 50 each of GREAT and SNOWY EGRETS were seen in the Hampton Marsh area 
on August 17th.



A leucistic female SURF SCOTER was seen off Jenness Beach in Rye on August 
19th.



A RED-NECKED GREBE was seen on Nubanusit Lake in Hancock on August 20th.



20 LEAST SANDPIPERS were seen in Surry Lake on August 20th, and a BONAPARTE'S 
GULL was seen there on August 18th.



57 EASTERN KINGBIRDS were seen on Turkey Pond in Concord on August 19th.



23 PIED-BILLED GREBES were seen at the Brentwood Mitigation Area on August 
21st.



At least 7 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were present in Concord on August 22nd.



A MOURNING WARBLER was seen in Penacook on August 19th.



7 BOREAL CHICKADEES and 14 BLACKPOLL WARBLERS were reported from the Carter 
Dome area, located east of Wildcat Mountain, on August 22nd.

28 TURKEY VULTURES were seen at the Rochester Waste Water Treatment Plant on 
August 21st.



Over 3,000 TREE SWALLOWS were seen along the coast on August 21st.
