Around 11 am yesterday 12/5 at our feeder in North Haverhill a single American
kestrel came to check out the feeder area. I startled him when I went to the
window and he landed in an apple tree a ways from the house. Half a dozen
blue jays came in an drove him off shortly after this. I was very surprised to
see a kestrel this time of the year. Also at the feeder was a white throated
sparrow on Saturday.
