Had a M Purple Finch at my feeders on Friday 3/12 also 3 Juncos.
3 American Tree sparrows were also still around.
On Sunday 3/14 I saw a pair of Canada Geese on the still frozen Mascoma
Lake about 1/2 Mile North of the Shaker Bridge. I turned around at Even Chance Road
to get a better look and watched thenm for a few minutes. I then proceeded N. and turned
around at the Baited Hook. When I passed by the place where I first saw them they were gone.
They would have been better off to have stopped on George Pond. More open water there.
