For most of the day, a winter-plumage male Ruddy Duck was present 
downstream from Ledyard Bridge. It seems to have favored the NH side of 
the river, down toward the wider section above Mink Brook. Last seen at 
~5:20pm. If it hangs around until tomorrow, the Mink Brook trail from 
Hanover may provide better viewing than from Foley Park area ~600m north 
of the bird's late-afternoon location.
